Our members shared their thoughts and we're listening...Starting this Saturday, July 2nd from 10:30 am until 11:45 am, we will replace the Power Vinyasa Yoga with the Yinyasa Yoga.
A little more on Yin-yasa:
Yin-yasa combines Yin yoga- a more passive and still practice (some postures will be held for 3-5 minutes) with Vinyasa- a sanskrit term translating to "flow" or more directly "to place in a special way".
Yin-yasa is a type of practice to leave you feeling balanced; re-energized yet relaxed. When these two styles of yoga are combined you are finished with a complete practice full of movement, breath, meditation, and expansion.
The first half of class will begin with some sun salutations and a short, gentle flow linking a few postures together to increase your heart rate and get you in your body. Gently easing into the second half of class expect longer holds, deeper breathing, and ample opportunity to access deeper tissues such as the connective tissue and fascia with a yin practice.
Yin-yasa is suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced practitioners. This style of yoga is an opportunity to release stress and tension in the body while gaining more flexibility.
